What is the point L if L is midpoint of A(3,7) and B(-5, 5).

Given the line segment AB such that A(3,7) and
B(-5,5)

We need to find the point L such that L is midpoint
AB.

We will use the midpoint
formula.

We know that if M(Mx, My) is midpoint of
AB

==> Then Mx = (Ax+Bx)/2 and My=
(Ay+By)/2.

We will subsitute with given
points.

==> Lx = (Ax+Bx)/2 = (3-5)/2 = -2/2 =
-1

==> Ly= (Ay+By)/2 = (7+5)/2 = 12/2 =
6

Then the point L is (-1,6) such that L is midpoint
of AB.
