In Death of a Salesman Willy's house is the only place where he can play the role of a salesman. Discuss

The situation with Willy is that he has lost control
everywhere: At work, with himself, with his children, and with his neighbors and
friends. The only place where Willy can halfway exert some form of power is in his house
where Lydia still holds him on a pedestal, and has refused to recognize the fact that
things have changed and that Willy is a broken man.

Since
no other character seems to be able to reconnect with Willy and communicate in a normal
way, Lydia is the only person with whom Willy can talk and feel like he is in control.
There at home is where he is at ease, away from the world which continues to change
around him, and which he cannot fit into anymore. At home, Willy has the power of
reinventing, creating, and imagining himself safely under Lydia's care and ability to
live in denial just like Willy does.
