What are the different methods of obtaining bail?

Are you asking how to go about getting the money needed to
post bail?  Or are you asking how to go about getting the court to allow you to get out
on bail?

If you are asking the first of these, there are
two main ways to obtain bail.  You can get the money from a company that specializes in
providing bail or you can raise the money informally.  In other words, you can get it
out of your own assets or you can raise it from family and friends.  Which you choose
generally depends on how much money you have.

If you are
asking the second question, the main way to get bail is to convince the judge that you
will show up for your trial date and will not harm anyone in the meantime.  This is
generally done by showing ties to the community and by showing that you are not a threat
to anyone.
