This experiment is to see the effects of exercise on pulse rate.
A hypothesis that could be tested by this experiment is that, the pulse rate increases after
exercise. The pulse taken at rest is the control group. The pulse taken after running in place
for two minutes is the experimental group. The independent variable is the level of exercise and
the dependent variable is the pulse rate. This experiment's main flaw is that the number of
participants in the sample needs to be large, varied by age and should include females and males.
An experiment with one subject cannot possibly garner enough data to be valid. Once the sample
size is increased, a conclusion can be made pertaining to this experiment. The data could be
shared with other scientists and further research can be done.
