please could you explain it step by steps? Thank you The density of water varies slightly with temperature. As it is heated it becomes less dense...

Density = mass/volume.

If the
density of warm water is .9850994 g/cm3 and you want to find the volume of 250 kg of
water at that same temperature, and therefore, that same density, then volume would =
density/mass.

d=m/v

multiply
both sides by v, and you get:

dv =
m

then divide both sides by d, to get the formula for
volume:

v=m/d

Since water is
about 1 gm/cm3, I'm assuming that you mean this particular density is .985 g/ .994 cm3.
Now, we plug the numbers into the equation:

V = 250 kg/
.985g/.994cm3

First, let's change kg to g and change cm3 to
m3 since your answer calls for that. 1 cm3 = 10^-6 m3.

V =
250,000g / .985g/.000000994 m3.

Dividing by a fraction, we
then multiply 250,000 g by the reciprocal of that
fraction.

V = 250,000g *
.000000994m3/.985g

= .252 m3
