How does Algebra relate to Business, as in how does Algebra relate to my career path?

Algebra has many practical applications in the business world.
Business people use algebraic concepts when they determine cost/profit ratios. They use it when
they decide how many workers they can employ and at what hourly rate. Executives figure volume
and shipping costs for their company product. They create scatter plots of data with regression
equations to chart business growth or deceleration. Staying within budget is an algebraic
business function. The finance, accounting, and marketing departments will all use algebra. The
list could go on and on. Anytime one needs to determine the value of unknown variables, algebra
comes into play. It is critical to have a solid foundation in algebra if one wishes to compete in
the world of business.
